A cool way to browse: Cooliris

Tired of the old way of searching videos on Youtube? Wish to search images faster on Google Images? Bored of the old Windows Picture Viewer? Why not try using Cooliris?!

Cooliris provides a very cool way of viewing images and video results from a website or from your own computer by displaying them on a 3d wall in full screen .

Cooliris Youtube Search

It allows you to browse images and videos without going to the actual pages containing the images/video.

It also provides a faster way of searching. It searches for more results as you reach the end. Just scroll to the right most side of the wall to continue searching to expand your search results.

Unlike the usual way of viewing images on separate pages, Cooliris combines search results into a single wall which is very useful for comparing images. Cooliris can be used on many websites such as youtube (You'll be able to search videos and watch them directly from cool iris!), deviant art, Flicker, Facebook etc.

Aside from it's online capabilities, Cooliris can also be used offline for browsing images from your own computer. Just select the disk or folder containing your images and view them through the 3d wall!

Try Cooliris for yourself. =)

A new view with SequoiaView

Early morning this day, I was planning to create a backup of my files ( from my 60 gb partition ) so I decided to take an estimate on how many blank dvds should I buy. Most of my files were just Powerpoint presentations, pictures, music, small softwares and documents so I thought 3 dvd's will be enough (About 12 gb. Most of the space came from my music and pictures) .. but I was wrong. 27 gb of files!!! Where the hell did that 15 gb came from???

There are many folders in that partition... and it will be a headache for me to search each folders for those unidentified files. Luckily, I was able to remember that I had installed a software that will help me make things easier, SequoiaView.

This software was reccomended to me by my college friend many months ago. It creates boxes with various sizes that represents each file in a drive. You'll be able to see which files occupies the largest space in your hard drive, and also displays the path in which the files was located.

Those 5 big boxes...!!!

I ran the program then boom!!! 5 dvd images of Densha Otoko (Train Man... a very good Japanese series about an anime addict who fell in love with a damn gorgeous woman!). It was located on the root drive of the partition. (It's hidden, and I don't know why.).It seems that I forgot to delete those after I transferred it to dvds.

Without SequoiaView... I'll be worn out all day searching every folders for hidden files!!!=)
